Star Trek: Starbase 777 - tac-workout-room

She stretched her legs as she was sitting on a mat, leaning over her leg as her hand gently cupped her ankle, but wincing ever so slightly as she felt the bruise from kicking a Klingon in the face.

[D] He had asked the computer where she was, and stalked to the workout room. He intended to give her a piece of his mind for hurting herself yet again. He walked into the room and stood near her, crossing his thick arms and glaring at her.

She saw his feet, knowing instantly that she was going to get a lecture as she looked up with a sheepish gaze, her eyelashes batting at him, "Apologies aren't going to do anything, are they?"

He glowered at her, "not in the least. I just got through fixing your ankle and you go off and do what again?"

She flushed as she looked him in the eyes, "Kick a Klingon in the face?" She pouted slightly, looking up at him with almost pleading expression, "In fairness... I led a team on my own to clear a ship?"

He frowned further and sat down in front of her, speaking softly. "I was so worried. I don't know what I would have done if you..." he left the rest unsaid.

She moved to sit beside him, wrapping her arms around his waist and resting her head on his shoulder, "I'm sorry, Marcus. I'm sorry for making you worried. I did take precautions and ensure everyone's safety."

"I know. I'm just so sorry I wasn't there. I wish I had been on the ship but I wasn't and I feel like I failed both you and the crew," he said sadly as he wrapped his arms around her.

She frowned as she reached up and gently turned his chin towards her, "Marcus. You didn't fail us. We needed someone who would be able to heal those we found. It's okay to do what you do best and take time to heal yourself."

He flopped onto the mat on his back and huffed. "I've lost my edge. I wouldn't have stayed back on the Cleveland, but now I feel...old and a bit broken."

She gave a chuckle as she flopped beside him, looking over at him, gently brushing some of his hair out of her way of seeing him. "You and me both. You don't think we're getting old, do you?"

"I think we are. Pretty soon I'll shrivel up and become one of those skinny doctors with giant glasses. My hair is already grey to complete the look. You however, look as gorgeous as you always have."

She reached over and promptly punched his shoulder, "Don't you ever insult yourself like that. You are incredibly handsome, Marcus. Surprised you aren't already spoken for."

"Ah but I am. A pretty tactical chief has claimed me for herself." He rubbed his shoulder. She hit harder than she looked.

She held her glare at him, but gently reached out to also rub his shoulder. "Good. Cause I can't go on without you, my medic. Who else is going to keep me from having heart attacks from too much coffee in the mornings?"

He clutched his chest and played dead on the mat. "Oh no! A myocardial infarction has claimed me...too...much...caffeine...goodbye cruel universe."

She punched his arm again, much lighter than before. “Marcus. You’re not allowed to die without me. At least make it as terrible of a love story as Romeo and Juliet.”

He still laid there, staring at the ceiling, "no...no dying Hanna."

She rolled so she was on her side and watching him carefully, then holding a finger out to him, her pinky one. “Only if you promise too.“

He looked over at her and saw her pinky. "What are we, 12?" When she wouldn't relent, he sighed and hooked his pinky in hers.

She smiled at him before tugging him close to seal their promise with a kiss. “That more grown up for you?”

He kissed her back softly, betraying his intimidating demeanor. "Much. Hey...so...having you back and being on missions with you, made me realize that...well I very much still love you." He blushed heavily.

She smiled at him as she watched his face, a cute eyebrow raise at his comment, “Well. I have to say I have mirroring feelings for you.”

Marcus whooped a bit before grabbing Hanna in a bear hug. "You just made my life Hanna!"

She laughed as she nuzzles against him, her arms wrapping over his shoulders, “Good. Cause mine would suck without you in it.”

He smiled, "everything feels right again. It felt so...off without you and now I feel whole again."

She held him tightly, “I never want to let you go again, Marcus.”

Marcus wanted a quiet place to work out. He had gone back to the ship to do some inventory in sickbay and then decided to hit the workout room in tactical. He was wearing a loose pair of shorts, a tank top and some sneakers. He faced the wall as he did a set of squats, a water bottle and towel nearby.

She had changed into a light weight outfit before walking into the work out area, intending on doing some yoga before going through some movements in various martial arts. But she couldn’t help but give a whistle at the sight of the large male already present.

He almost dropped the weight at the sound of the whistle. He carefully replaced the barbell on the rack and turned slowly. His eyes widened when he saw her, his mouth dropping slightly. "Hanna?"

She smiled as she walked over, gently kissing him before moving to sit on a bench beside him, “How was your sabbatical?”

He snorted at the kiss and bent to lift her into a hug, holding her in his arms. "God I missed you."

She wrapped her arms around his shoulders as she kissed him deeper. “I missed you too, Marcus.”

He slowly broke the kiss. "Ugh I did not enjoy the sabbatical. I missed you and the station and the ship. Next time they can get a different guest lecturer. What's been going on here?"

She gave a slight shrug, “Not too much. Commander is leaving, not sure who her replacement is. The Borg assisted and betrayed us all in one day. Mona has a backbone and I definitely want to reserve her a spot in the wedding party.”

He realized he was still holding her and placed her down, his hand threading with hers. "Wow, lots of changes. I met the acmo in sickbay and they seem nice. Has Ugh been behaving?"

She nodded her head slightly, "Had a hiccup with an order I gave him, but honestly... I haven't had much contact with him since. He's been flirting it up with a girl according to the officers."

"Flirting? Well I wish him the best of luck. Speakinf of flirting, how did I get so lucky to have a beauty like you at my side?"

She smirked as she looked up at him, “By accepting my proposal. Which reminds me, shall we start to discuss plans for that?”

"Whenever you like. I'm back for a while now and if I have my way forever. So we can get married between now and the next disaster." He gave a low chuckle, then his eyes went serious. "How's your ankle?"

She smiled against his cheesy comment before seriously considering her next words, one could end up with her being congratulated, the other might end up with her on a medical table and not in a fun way. "It's been a little sore, but I've been keeping my chair rather warm and leg rather elevated. I've been avoiding strenuous activity unless required, and focusing on yoga and breathing exercises for the time."

"No kicking any Borg drones in the face?"

She pouted slightly as she answered him, “No…. But I was gonna stab one of Mona hadn’t said otherwise.”

"Why did she stop you? Mind you I don't know if Borg can be stabbed."

She moved to stretch out her arms, bracing her elbows properly to allow a full movement, “Because we didn’t know if it was better to have a dead Borg or a live one when facing off against a cube.”

"I suppose. She knew the right choice since she's the captain. I hear we're getting a new station commander. I never even got to meet commodore treville...I've missed too much Hanna," he said sadlym

She reached up to hold his cheek, "We will have to invite her for coffee and potentially for other events should she be free. Don't you think?"
